Design Function: To Showcase and Hang Clothes

I'm loving the open design of clothing racks and other systems out there right now. Minimalist approach, yes...but it definitely requires some organization and thought to showcase your favorite wardrobe pieces. Maybe it'll get me to purge the clothing I haven't actually worn in years.Inspired? Now it's time to edit and organize!

Design Function: To Catch, Hold and Store Items

For the new year, there's always an intent to purge, clean and organize. While there are the practical yet monochromatic boring plastic bins that come in all sizes out there, I'm somehow drawn to explore other means to hide my mess. Enter the lovely options of fabric containers. And what better way to combine the beauty of textile prints with functionality to catch and store all the loose items, clutter, bits and bobs around the house. I love Bookhou's textile prints (available in our shop) and my little textile storage holds all the little items around my workspace while looking oh so pretty.

Design Function: To Hang Plants

Whether they're succulents, a mini herb garden by the window or easy to manage ficus tree, greenery softens up any space and provides a calming refuge at home. Plus certain plants can actually clean out toxins in the air and provide some much needed fresh air. I have by no means the green thumb, but my resilient money tree has been with me for over 5 years even with some heavy pruning. Let's just say down to only the mini trunk... I thought it was done for good. But the leaves slowly sprouted and are now even greener. So whether that's symbolic of money matters, maybe it's reminding me of patience and resilience in the journey of finance and business or anything else we do in life-pilgrimage to Santiago De Compostela perhaps someday. So that brings me to the endless options out there right now to showcase my love for greenery. From terrariums to planters held by leather or macrame, hang them up!
