Kerrie Yeung Jewelry: New Lookbook

7.29.2013

I'm super excited to present the lookbook by the sweet and lovely Brooklyn-based designer Kerrie Yeung.  It showcases her permanent collection called the Originals Collection, featuring her beautiful minimalist pieces. Influenced by structured and organic forms as well as the beauty of simple everyday things, Kerrie reinterprets classic simple shapes. She creates jewelry pieces that are timeless and meant to be worn everyday. As she states, "this timeless and classic collection celebrates the meeting of understated, reductive aesthetics and thoughtful design." We're proud to offer some of  her classic pieces in our shop including her signet and faceted rings, necklaces and post earrings. I've  been looking for everyday studs and these earrings have been a favorite of mine! Her designs are wonderful treats for yourself or make perfect gifts for your loved ones. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Travel Essentials

7.22.2013

Whether you're globe trottin' or you prefer a "staycation" close to home (roadtrip anyone?) this summer, here are some of our favorite key pieces for the wanderlust in you. A cross body bag and small pouches like Erin Templeton's designs are essentials to the trip. Ellen Truijen's Hipster bag, a chic alternative to a fanny pack, is a wonderful option for hands free mobility. Her small leather goods are also easy to pack and practical options when you want to carry something light like the gorgeous iPad case/Clutch or her adorable red wristlets that comes in different sizes that can be thrown right into Margarete Hausler's beautiful totes. They're ideal for trip to local markets or beach. Reach for the lightweight scarves by Lookout & Wonderland for those breezy summer nights.  And of course, there's nothing like some striking jewelry to top off your summer ensemble like Alchemy's necklaces and Victoria Bekerman's earrings. Happy Travels!Bon Voyage!Buon Viaggio!

We're proud to carry the gorgeous line of jewelry by Young Frankk, created by Virginia-based designer Christine Young. I'm loving the images from their new Summer Lookbook shot in Coney Island. It's making me want to hit the beach, ride a roller coaster and eat cotton candy...all while looking chic. We currently carry her signature minimalist yet striking cuffs including the Full Moon Brass Cuff shown on model.

Hope you had wonderful 4th of July!We spent some time in the beautiful Adirondack's region for the holiday. After coming from the relentless heat wave we've been having in Southern Cal this past month, it was definitely a change to transition to the cooler rainy weather (and humidity!) in this area.  Even though we didn't get to do much hiking, it was relaxing to stay in a log home surrounded by the lush greenery typically blanketing this region. About a half hour away to Lake Placid (previous home of Winter Olympics) and Lake Champlain, it was a home away from home featuring a charming wood stove and wall to wall pine wood paneling. Whether as an accent wall, wall to wall wooden panels, floors or ceiling, wood somehow adds an element of warmth and coziness to any space.
